Vibha Dream Mile -10K run June 28 2009, Shoreline, Mountain View, CA

Vibha is a great organization for doing all the good stuff for underprivileged back in India and USA...I am fortunate to have lot of friends who closely work with Vibha for long time and constantly update me on their activities , projects and roles.

Always feels nice running for a cause and i decided to run this one and pre-registered for event.
Reached there on time and must give creadit to volunteer run organization for doing a superb job in terms of facilitating and arrangements at this event.

since this was my first 5K/10K event, i noticed that 5K/10K events are more kids, stroller, family and pets friendly and the atmosphere is more family fun unlike a little professional one in marathon events.

Shoreline is a well known place to me splly for my boating, kite flying, biking experiences during my early days in bay area.

Thugh the day of the run was hot and thats where i decided to wear my shades during the run and it really helped a great deal......the run went smooth with little churns and puring water on head wherever i could helped as well to bear the scortching heat.

The run completion was followed up by great food choices -fruits, indian food, fresh choice, award ceremony etc.

i caught with all my friends at Vibha and known faces and checked good stalls from poweraid, asha, sports basement, honest tea for another hour before heading back home.

was a good run, thanks to all vibha volunteers for arranging this event :)
